QunaSys, founded in February 2018, is a company that specializes in the research and development of quantum chemistry software and algorithms, as well as providing education in the field of quantum computing. Under the guidance of Professor Keisuke Fujii, one of the leading experts in quantum computer research at Osaka University in Japan, along with three other professors serving as advisors, QunaSys initially started as a one-person company. However, it has since expanded and now boasts approximately 50 employees, including a substantial number of individuals holding doctoral degrees, as well as dedicated interns working towards the practical implementation of quantum computing.
With a mission to "Maximize the power of quantum computing," QunaSys actively pursues research and development to unlock the potential of quantum computing technology for a wide range of industries. While quantum technology has attracted attention for its applications in areas such as chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and finance, QunaSys specifically focuses on the field of chemistry. This field is deemed to have the earliest potential for implementing quantum technology and offers the highest projected business value through its integration.
